Today I attended the first chapter meeting in the
Norwegian OWASP chapter.
Chapter lead Kåre Presttun from
mnemonic introduced us to
OWASP, and talked about some of the many OWASP projects. He then proceeded to summarize the recently held AppSec conference in Belgium. Sounds like there were a lot of interesting topics there.
Next up, was Bård Farstad from the open source company
eZ Systems. They are the company behind the widely used CMS eZ Publish. Bård talked about general web security and how to solve security related issues in PHP-applications.
I was great to finally get the chapter started, and I'm looking forward to the future chapter meetings. If you live in the Oslo area, you should join too!
